Dry Needling in Lynnwood, WA

Targeted therapy to release muscle tension, restore movement, and resolve stubborn pain.

If you’ve tried massage, stretching, or chiropractic care and your muscles still feel tight, there may be something deeper going on. Some muscle tension doesn’t release with traditional methods. That’s where dry needling can help.

What Is Dry Needling?

Dry needling is a targeted technique that uses very thin needles to stimulate specific points within the muscle known as trigger points.

These are areas of tightness or dysfunction that can:

  • Limit movement

  • Cause pain or discomfort

  • Prevent full muscle relaxation

By directly stimulating these areas, dry needling helps the muscle reset and release.

Why some muscle tension doesn't go away

Understanding the Cause of Trigger Points

This often happens because the muscle isn’t just tight, it’s stuck in a protective pattern controlled by your nervous system.

When a muscle becomes irritated or overused, your body keeps it partially contracted to protect the area, creating what we call trigger points.

Even with stretching or massage, that signal can remain, which is why the same spot keeps feeling tight or “stuck.” Dry needling helps reset that signal, allowing the muscle to fully release and function properly again.
